WELCOME To The 2005 Alaska O’Barr Family Reunion

Here are all the grandchildren. That is a real lake and real vegetation in Willow, Alaska.
It almost looks like a perfect pose with the perfect background in a picture studio.

The granddaughters in a group. Karina is being silly on the left,
Kayleigh is holding Aubrey and Emma is in the middle.

The grandsons in a group. Brenton and Byron are left, Ealom and Aidan are right and
Tanner in the middle. Ealom’s hair reminds Grandma of his Uncle Danny as a boy.

A group down at the lake. The kids enjoyed swimming a lot and there were rumors
of skinny-dipping, but some of us thought the water was too cold!

Heidi, our official “lifeguard”, holding Byron while everyone was watching the kids.
She really is a certified instructor and swimming is her specialty.

The brave ones in the water. Several groups took canoe trips around the lake too.
Sally was in charge of the activities.

Bonny is in the foreground with her camera. Even her dog, Bridget,
wanted to get in on the fun swimming.

Gil with his boys in front of their tent. Everyone else stayed in cabins but their family decided to
make it authentic camping. They were probably just as comfortable and maybe even warmer!

John, the expert outdoors cook. He has the most experience starting fires
in adverse situations and keeping them going.

Some of the group under the roof of our eating area off the old lodge.
Katy was in charge of the food and we ate very well.

The usual “train” drill. You could hear it rumble for a long way off so the kids would
stand and wave. The engineers were good to wave back and blow their whistles.
This was just a tanker train, but the tourist trains were fun since all the tourists waved back.

Bonny and Grandma working on the O’Barr T-shirts for the reunion.
Bonny designed the graphics and spent a lot of time ironing. Thank you, Bonny!

This is what is on the back of our shirts showing how we are all “tangled” together
as a family. We had first names and the year 2005 on the front.
